KIDS

With the wedding happening in a few weeks plus my work load getting heavier, I've been really really stressed (and broke. Huhu!) for the past month.

I wish I could do nothing but sleep for 1 whole day.

I didn't want to come to work today but I had a lot of things on my TO DO list so I had no choice.

The highlight of my day was viewing pictures of Joaquin and my nephew, Gabe which were taken over the weekend.

What would I give to be a kid again. Their smiles are so genuine and it's so easy to make them happy.

They really love each other!

Where can I get some of that?

Thanks, Kuya Gabe!

HE'S WITH ME

I still can't get over last night's dream.

It was my wedding day. I was at Nurture Spa and was just about to leave for the church.

Then, Papa shows up.

He looked gorgeous!

In a white polo shirt and jeans. He gained weight. He looked healthy and younger.

I asked him how...why...

He said he never really died. He was alive this whole time. That the body in the coffin was fake.

Then I woke up. My first thought was..Wait, I haven't introduced him to Joaquin yet.

I searched online for possible interpretations and this is what I found:

"If the dead person you saw in your dream was someone you loved very much and someone who loved you very much, this person will give you very good advice by showing you real solutions in your dreams. They may also explain many things about their death and about your own life.

You can trust the information you receive this way, because dead people don’t disappear after death; they continue to exist, they continue to love us and care about our life, even though they don’t have a body anymore like we do."

I think that's exactly what he's trying to tell me. That he's still here, that he was never really gone. That he's happy for me. That he loves us. So much.

And well, of course-- that he's still pogi.

Gawd, I miss Papa.

IN PANIC MODE

Definitely in panic mode.

My wedding is about a month away and I feel sooo behind with my wedding preps.

I haven't finalized the songs for the church. We haven't even decided if we will be asking the choir to sing for the reception. (Guys, yours thoughts on this please?)

I still haven't prepared the misalette for the ceremony.

I still do not have a reception programme. V and I want a no-frills wedding reception. We just want people to be happy and celebrate with us. I finally talked him into doing the first dance. (Just a thought, Uso pa ba yung money dance?)

I still do not have a unity candle (Cha, what is this for anyway?). I plan to just buy a big candle in SM and decorate it with the personalized ribbons I had made.

I haven't finalized the guest list (V has not given me his list!!!) and the seating plan.

I'm sooo doomed!

I am often sooo swamped with work and so tired when I get home that I. cannot. find. the. time. to. do. wedding. preparations.

Seriously. I want to cry naaaa.

To my sisters and friends-- I'll be asking for some help in the coming weeks. I hope you don't mind if I give you some duties on the day itself. Help keep me sane!!!!

YUMMY QUICK FIX!

Just want to share with you one of my favorite quick meals. It only takes 10 mins to make! 8 minutes to cook the pasta and 2 minutes to just mix in the sauce. I really really love this!!!I make it whenever I'm hungry yet too lazy to cook. It's healthy and absolutely delish!

And did I mention that a bottle of Filippo Berio's Sundried Tomato Pesto only costs Php 115? :)

HAPPY HAPPY!

Joaquin is growing up to be a very happy boy. And I have the pictures to prove it :)

And check out his new shoes (these are 2 pairs, I just made him wear one on each foot). I probably like it more than he does. Hahaha!

SCRAPBOOKING

A few days ago, I realized that Joaquin still doesn't have a photo album. All he has are digital pictures. Shame on me, I know.

I was reading a parenting magazine while waiting for Joaquin's turn at the pedia today and came across an article about Memory Box.

Now, I want to create a scrapbook for my little boy. I still have my pregnancy test (is it weird if I put this in the scrapbook? Haha!) and ultrasound pictures of Joaquin in my womb.

I'm really excited just looking at all these scrapbook materials and design ideas are swimming in my head.

Now if I can just find the time....

JOAQUIN'S 1ST BEACH TRIP

We all had fun in Kabayan Resort in San Juan, Batangas last weekend--except for Joaquin who hated the beach! He tiptoes when walking on sand and he would cry when we are near the water. And he wasn't even wet yet! So we all agreed to go on more beach trips so Joaquin will learn to love the sea as much as we do.

I had high hopes that the beach would be nice and secluded but there were so many people! But then again, its summer so what did I expect, right? Also, the water was not as clear as the beach we went to after my climb in Mt. Daguldol (which is in San Juan also).

Accomodations were good. I loved that we could bring in our own food and cook. All their cottages have a kitchen--pots, pans, utensils and refrigerator included. The cottage also comes with your own mineral water dispenser so no need to pay for expensive mineral water!

What I didn't like about Kabayan resort was the swimming pool. It was filthy and they were charging 100 pesos per head.

Would I go back to Laiya? Yes, but I would probably stay in a different resort just so I can go to the different side of the beach--which will hopefully be a lot nicer, cleaner and more private.

Here are some pictures!

BEACH WEEKEND!

It's V's and my birthday this week and  we're headed to Kabayan Resort in San Juan, Batangas tomorrow to celebrate.  It will also be Joaquin's first trip to the beach! We are hoping he likes the water!

I am soooo excited because I haven't been to the beach in 2 years so even if I'm not bikini ready, I don't care!

Will post pictures on Monday.

Have a great weekend, guys!
