Finally! Time to update this blog! I have so much kwento!

NEW MEMBER OF THE FAMILY

My good friend, Gina called me last week to ask me if we would like to adopt her 2-year-old shih tzu, Bucherz. She can't take care of him anymore because of her asthma. Of course, I said yes! We would love to have a new dog in the house! So, last Holy Wednesday, we went to Gina's place, got Bucherz and welcomed him to our home. He's absolutely adorable and even Joaquin loves him to bits!

A NOT SO "GOOD FRIDAY"

We didn't have Holy Week plans and we found ourselves melting from the heat on Good Friday so we decided to go out and find a place to eat. We passed by Mall of Asia and it was closed. So, we decided to just go to Sofitel and stuff ourselves at Spiral. Since we were early, we decided to hang out at the Poolside garden to watch the sunset.

My sisters, Marby and Francine

We don't know what came over Joaquin over dinner because he was soooo kulit (maybe it was the super yummy food)! He wouldn't stop laughing, smiling and making faces at the waiter serving us and at the chef who was refilling the shrimp and crab section. The following pictures will show you what I mean.

The waiter found Joaquin so cute that he sneaked us a whole bag of chocolate chip cookies!

SATURDAY WITH MY PAKNERS

We were going to meet for coffee but I needed--ok--wanted a drink! I can't remember the last time I had one and I was craving for Oyster Boy's peach rhum. I had 2! YUMMY!

I really love the relationship I have with these girls! We've known each other for 10 years! And even if we don't see each other as often as before, everytime we get together, it still feels like we just saw each other last weekend. We've never drifted apart and I know that we never will.

The greatest lesson I learned this week from training and observing agents is---

Common sense is not that common.

It's sooooo frustrating.  It was such a stressful work week that I had a migraine almost every day.  I am hoping that the next week will be a lot better.

BACK TO REGULAR PROGRAMMING

I went to bed last night feeling excited about this week. There are so many good things happening, I can't help but feel giddy!

1. GOODBYE NIGHT SHIFT!
I'm back to my regular work schedule. I really cannot work the night shift on a regular basis. If I wasn't a mother, I'm pretty sure I can pull it off but I have a son and I need to be awake when he's awake. Oh, I was at the canteen this morning getting breakfast and the lady there said I didn't look flawless (haha!) when I was working the night shift. But it's true, my skin broke out real bad. Thankfully, my skin will now have time to recuperate.

2. WELCOME HOME, FRANCINE! My sister, Francine is arriving from the U.S. tomorrow night and I can't wait! She'll be staying here for good. Joaquin has a new yaya (kidding)! I'm finally going to have a dessert buddy again! When she left, I felt so guilty whenever I would pig out alone (V's not much of a dessert lover). Now, that she's here, having dessert will be fuuunn again!

3. TRAINING FOR MY ACCOUNT STARTS! At the very last minute last Saturday morning, I hired the remaining agents I needed for the account. Trainors from Singapore and Hong Kong are arriving tonight and training starts tomorrow morning. Really looking forward to this.

4. TAGAYTAY TRIP. My sisters and I together with Van's parents and sister are going to Tagaytay this Saturday for food tasting at Nurture Spa. I am also meeting with our florist and will pay our church. I will also look for a give-away supplier.

5. TING HUN- My cousin, Abbey is having her engagement party on Sunday at the 7 corners in Crowne Plaza. Yay! Buffet!

See, it's a pretty packed week! I hope you all enjoy yours :)

ACROSS THE UNIVERSE

It's been awhile since I've enjoyed every minute of a film as much as this. The cinematography is amazing!  And if you love the Beatles (the soundtrack is really gooood!), that should be enough reason for you to watch "Across the Universe".

Have I mentioned that U2's Bono is in it?
