GOOD PEOPLE STILL EXIST

When I read this the other day, I cried. I don't know what I would do if it happened to Joaquin or Gabe.

When I read this today, I cried again. I'm so happy good samaritans still exist. I'm so glad that the little boy is finally home. Safe with his family.

SALCEDO MARKET

I dragged my sisters out of bed last Saturday to go to Salcedo Market. The kids had fun running around the playground and we were (so) full! To be honest, I find items here pricey but it's nice to go once in a while just to see what's new.

Bought a big rattan chest for Joaquin to put his toys in (they're no longer scattered on our living room table), some malunggay pesto (interesting noh? tastes pretty much the same as basil pesto) and some Cuapao buns for my sister, Sunshine and Joaquin (we stuff them with bacon, pancit canton, spam and its sooo good!)

There was a chinese lady there with a little dimsum cart and everything she sold was really good! We went gaga over her dimsum rolls! Will probably go back to Salcedo Market just for that.

Happy Marby with her dimsum rolls

Francine having too many drinks!

Joaquin looks grumpy here. Probably getting a brain freeze from his mango shake

Yummy!

THE TING TINGS

I was dancing while driving to work today. Haha! Thanks to The Ting Tings! I like most of the songs on the album. You must listen to, Shut up and Let me Go, Keep your Head, Great DJ, That's not my name, Fruit Machine, We Walk and Traffic Light (Meow, this particular song reminded me of you)

Listen to their songs on iLike

Can't believe there's only 2 of them in the group!

THANKS TO GOOGLE

Was supposed to have a final interview at a call center tomorrow morning. The first interview was done by their HR person over the phone and the second interview was a teleconference with their Managing Director who is based in Australia.

It seemed promising (what with a 2-week training in Sydney!) until I googled the company and ended up in a forum in PEX solely dedicated to the company. I've also read blogs from various people in multiply saying so many negative things about the company. From what I gathered, the company pays really well BUT sometimes, they don't pay on time and they don't remit statutory benefits like SSS, Pag-Ibig and Philhealth. Not only that, they also claim that the bosses are rude and the office sucks (I read a lot of complaints about malfunctioning aircons and elevators).

I'm job-hunting because I'm looking for career growth not a bigger headache!

So, I'm calling their office tomorrow to cancel my interview. I know some of you might say I shouldn't rely on what I've read on the internet but I don't want to travel all the way to Mandaluyong just to find out I was right and that Google was right.

I'm relying on my gut feel.

Oh well, back to the job hunt! Haaayyy.

NURSERY RHYMES (My sisters' versions)

Joaquin loves nursery rhymes. If he cries for whatever reason, we just sing him nursery rhymes and he calms down. His ultimate favorite is "Twinkle Twinkle".

Here are my sisters' versions of a couple of nursery rhymes. Nyahaha!

Kristine's version of "Itsy Bitsy Spider"

The itsy bitsy spider
Climbed up the waterspout
Down came the rainbow
washed the spider out.

Sunshine's version of "Mary Had A Little Lamb"
Mary had a little lamb,
Little lamb, little lamb,
Mary had a little lamb,
Its fleece was white as snow

One day Mary went to school,

Went to school, went to school,
One day Mary went to school
The lamb was sure to go

I hope your weekend was as fruitful as mine! Have a good work week ahead!

BEFORE I SAID "I DO"

I'm a MRS. now :) Finally tied the knot last Saturday. It was everything we wanted it to be--fun and intimate!

But before I said "I do", let me tell you about my bridal showers.

The first one was a surprise bridal shower organized my boss. I was really moved because it was the first surprise party anyone has ever thrown for me. She told me we had a meeting Friday afternoon, 5pm. At around 5pm, my colleague calls to tell me that my boss can't make it because she doesn't have a yaya and she has sent her driver to bring me to her house instead. I was thrilled because I wanted to see her new baby girl again.

I was waiting for the driver at our office lobby when I see my other colleagues leaving too. I kept on asking them where they were all going and they said they were going home. A few minutes later, the head of Finance approaches me and tells me, "Let's go Bunny!". That's when I knew! It was soooo fun! I received so much lingerie! Hahaha! I still don't have the pictures from that bridal shower but will post them as soon as I get them.

The very next day, my sisters, my mom and I headed to Discovery Suites for another bridal shower. B and my sister, Marby did a fantastic job organizing the whole thing! There was an overflow of drinks (wine and vodka), chips and dip, pizza and dessert!!! It was perfect! Enjoy the pictures! Thanks to everyone who went! I had a major good time!

Before the ruckus! Hahaha!

Aina lovin' her banana!

Francine--not lovin' hers!

Obviously, it was a long, hard and tough decision to make. Hihi!

How in the world do you put this in?!?

Wedding pics coming up very soon!

P.S.
My mom went back to the U.S. today.
I feel sad. :(
