WHAT TO COOK?

My schedule for the past few months no longer gives me the time to cook dinner at home on weekdays. So on weekends, I cook.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow, Saturday because I get to do one of my most favorite things--a trip to the wet market and the grocery.

For the past month, I've been making pretty much the same things every weekend and I want something new.


My Japchae noodles which V, Joaquin, my sisters (especially Sunshine), our helpers, in-laws, lunch buddies at work-- super love! I seriously get requests to make this.


My beef salpicao, which is quite good too.

And then there's my Korean Beef Stew whose picture I have not uploaded from my digicam yet (V and Joaquin loves this! For my vegan sister, Sunshine, I add sotanghon noodles).

So, anyway, I need something new to cook for my family on weekends. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm thinking-- Kare-kare, coz I haven't made that in awhile but I want something new.

I just finished reading Twilight by Stephenie Meyer last night (Big thanks to Charo for recommending insisting that I read the book)

It's about a human (Bella Swan) who falls inlove with a vampire (Edward Cullen.

I loved every bit of it. Loved it so much I finished reading it in 2 days. Loved it so much that I didn't watch any TV or answer any of my crossword puzzles. I. could. not. put. it. down. Really.

Loved it so much that I can't wait to run to the bookstore and get New Moon and Eclipse (Not reading the last book, Breaking Dawn because it's really disappointing according to the reviews).

A VERY SPECIAL LOVE

My sisters and I saw this movie last Sunday and I really liked it. It was pretty entertaining and we laughed at a lot of scenes. I'm not a fan of John Lloyd Cruz or Sarah Geronimo but I was curious about the team-up.

First off, hindi talaga sila bagay. Sarah, i think, will always be a kid in my eyes. You can put her in a bikini, make her wear something really sexy and I will still see her as a kid.

John Lloyd, on the other hand, was hot in this movie. I think its the character. He looks like a goody-two-shoes kind of guy. But in this movie, he plays this mean, cold-hearted guy and it was such an unlikely role for him. But it's bagay talaga! Gave him more sex appeal!

Watch it if you still can...or if you want :)

POTIPOT ISLAND

Potipot Island is the nicest beach I have been to in Luzon. The quality of the sand and the water is sooo close to Boracay.

The best thing about Potipot Island is its only 4 hours away from Manila by car (Thanks to the new SCTEX highway) and a 5-10 minute boatride from any resort in Brgy. Sinabacan, Candelaria, Zambales.

We stayed at Alta Nina Resort. Not bad for only Php1500/night. Each room has AC, 1 queen sized bed, 1 single bed and a bathroom. Just make sure you bring food that you can cook because there are no restaurants in the area.
